INEOS has been building the Grenadier for almost two years now, working to fill the gap left when Land Rover moved the new Defender to a more modern platform. The goal of the Grenadier was to go back to a simpler, classical body-on-frame SUV, eschewing the high-performance engines for a reliable, undertaxed BMW six-cylinder and focusing on utility instead of luxury. Now, with some concept cars on display at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, it seems like they're looking to move more towards satisfying a greater mix of consumer demands, with V8 engines, portal axles, and luxury interiors all on test.
