Fits perfectly around the stock driveshaft, though fit was a little tighter with my aftermarket heavy-duty driveshaft, but I don't think you could make the socket walls any thinner and still be able to hook up an impact wrench. Made swapping out my driveshaft a 15-min process, essential tool for this job.

This is the 2nd time I have had to remove the transfer case on a D1. It make the job super easy, as last time I had to jury rig a bunch of adapters. I also needed a box wrench on the back of the nuts on the rear and the front driveshaft, and a swivel joint and an 4" extension for the front top nut. Still rubs a bit in certain angles.
