As Land Rover enthusiasts, we’re always looking for any excuse to feature some great pictures of classic Land Rovers on our news blog. Recently we stumbled upon photos of a beautifully restored 1956 Land Rover Series I that was featured as part of a UK automotive style show titled, “UK’s Salute to Style.”
Given that only 40,000 Land Rover Series I models were produced, any mint-condition model is considered both rare and valuable. This particular Series I was originally featured on the British television show “For the Love of Cars” where the hosts discovered the vehicle abandoned in a barn and proceeded to restore it. Interestingly, the Series I is now owned by one Afzul Khan, yes, the same Khan behind Khan Designs. Those familiar with Khan Design projects are probably pleasantly surprised to see that the man behind so many Land Rover street mods has an appreciation for Land Rovers in classic form as well.
