Several months ago we were asked by members of a Land Rover enthusiast forum why Atlantic British had never offered group buy discount promotions. After giving it some thought, we really could not find a reason why we shouldn’t give Rover enthusiasts a chance to join together and earn exclusive discounts. As a result, we decided to introduce our own, recurring group buy promotion – BlockBuy.
Many Atlantic British customers are probably familiar with some of the group-buying promotions that occur in various enthusiast forums, but for those who aren’t we’ll provide a quick overview:
In a typical group buy scenario, an individual or group buy sponsor arranges a favorable pricing agreement from a vendor on a specific part or item and presents this pricing to a group of would-be buyers (usually in a forum). The manufacturer’s favorable pricing is predicated on the sponsor’s ability to amass a set group of people committed to buying the item.
For example, a group buy sponsor might post something like this in a forum:
10% Off ARB Bumper with 10 or more buyers
Interested buyers let the sponsor know that they intend to purchase the item. When 10 people (or whatever the number may be) sign up, the discount goes into effect. The beauty of the group buy is that it is mutually beneficial to both the customer (who receives a great discount) and the vendor (who gets to sell a number of items at once).

Customers with an existing Facebook account can see the latest BlockBuy offerings from our Facebook page via the BlockBuy Application tab (look for the BlockBuy symbol below our profile picture).
Clicking on the BlockBuy tab will bring you to the latest Atlantic British BlockBuy product promotion - including what discounts are available and what timeframe is required to sign up. If you are interested in the featured product, fill out the brief sign-up form and encourage your Rover-owning friends to do the same!
After filling out your contact information on the BlockBuy sign-up form, you will receive an email confirming your participation in the current BlockBuy Offer. When the promotion has expired, you will receive another email notifying you of the final discount level. If enough people have participated in the BlockBuy to earn a discount, you will also be provided an individualized discount code for use at checkout to get the discount.
Atlantic British’s BlockBuy aims to be the first consistent group buying tool available for Land Rover enthusiasts. We created BlockBuy to offer a fun, interactive way for customers to receive special discounts on their favorite parts and coordinate with their friends to get even deeper discounts. Many BlockBuy promotions will have tiered discounts, meaning the more people that sign-up, the better the deal.
