All-Pro New York Jets cornerback Darelle Revis is no stranger to advertising and promotion…
Mr. Revis has appeared in a number of Dick’s Sporting Goods commercials and branded himself as one of the NFL’s iconic defensive players with his nickname, “Revis Island.” It seems sensible that Land Rover would name Revis one of its City Shapers, the title given to a select group of brand ambassadors chosen to promote the Range Rover Evoque’s new Pulse of the City campaign.
Land Rover has asked 40 influential figures from the worlds of fashion, sports, television, art and music to become “City Shapers” and help launch the Range Rover Evoque in their home cities across the next 12 months. Rover’s City Shapers will be followed while traveling to their favorite area locales as part of the Pulse of the City campaign; no doubt an attempt to engender urban authenticity for Land Rover’s newest vehicle.
Revis was unable to hide his excitement while in New York selecting the specifications for his Evoque, “It’s such a head-turning truck, with that mean front end, those LED headlights. It’s going to get a lot of attention, maybe too much!” For both Darelle Revis and the Evoque, too much attention is a good problem to have.
