Updates to the new, 2014 Range Rover Evoque have been unveiled, most notable of which is the addition of a new, nine-speed automatic gearbox.
The new transmission is produced by ZF and is said to offer enhanced fuel economy and CO2 emissions. Despite being physically larger, the transmission is over 15 pounds lighter a change that reflects the Evoque’s pension for doing more with less.. Additional changes include upgrades to the vehicle’s driver assistance system which include Park Exit (to aide in exiting parallel parking spots), Perpendicular Park (to center the car in parking bays), Lane Departure Warning, Wade Sensing, Traffic Sign Recognition and Closing Vehicle Sensing and Reverse Traffic Detection (to alert drivers to oncoming traffic).
A series of minor cosmetic alterations are also figured to be included in both the interior and exterior of the vehicle.
