Land Rover has publicly announced their intentions to increase the presence of hybrid technologies in future vehicle models, and recent spy shots on Germany’s Nurburgring reveal a Range Rover Sport Supercharged hybrid taking laps during a test run.
The footage shows a Range Rover Sport Supercharged cruising at speeds of exceeding 30 mph, which is not possible to do under electric power in current Sport models. Judging by what we can make of the Sport, it appears that the vehicle combines a gas motor with electric technologies, which is consistent with what we have been hearing from Land Rover corporate. It’s exciting to see that Land Rover can incorporate eco-friendly hybrid technology into their most performance-minded models.
