Earlier this year, Jaguar Land Rover announced an innovative new tech startup known as InMotion.
InMotion functions as its own independent company, that focuses on the development of mobile apps and other on-demand services in the transport and travel sector.
From its headquarters in a renovated industrial building in London, the firm engages with consumers and other entrepreneurs in North America, Europe, and Asia, to identify ways to improve the “user experience” in the worldwide mobility sector.
From car-share services to mobile apps, InMotion brings a combined ability to do market research as well as product design and development in a variety of disciplines related to the field. The strong financial backing by parent company JLR provides InMotion with the ability to respond quickly to ever changing and rapidly progressing automotive technology.
The partnership between JLR, InMotion, and InMotion’s entrepreneurial clients will be a powerful force in the UK automotive market. While not every app or service created under InMotion’s roof will find its way into a JLR product, the project stands to greatly benefit the UK and International automotive market as well as JLR themselves.
