A recent report from What? Car Magazine has revealed Land Rover’s intention to develop a new, pick-up version of the next generation Land Rover Defender.
Company design head Gerry McGovern says that the company plans to have the vehicle go on sale as early as 2017. The Land Rover Defender pick-up is slated to be released after the all new five-seat and seven-seat models hit markets in 2016. McGovern says that Land Rover plans for the pick-up to be a more “premium” model compared to other Defenders in the product line.
Rumors suggest that the pick-up would be styled as a crew-cab, five-seat vehicle with full time four-wheel-drive.
