Land Rover has announced plans for the new Land Rover Discovery XXV, a special edition vehicle that pays tribute to 25 year “career” of the Land Rover Discovery model.
The Discovery XXV takes the existing HSE Discovery 4 (LR4 to those of us residing in the U.S.) and adds a choice of four, special color exterior color schemes: Causeway Grey, Santorini Black, Fuji White and Indus Silver. Each Discovery XXV will also feature custom badging on the front door and tailgate to help identify the vehicle as a special edition. Rounding out the exterior features are a a Narvick Black grille, silver roof rails, and 20-inch five-spoke forged alloy wheels.
Other enhancements can be seen on the Discovery XXV interior, including leather trimmed instrument panels and door tops and a leather wrapped wood steering wheel. We’re happy to see that Land Rover has paid the Discovery its dues with this tribute model.
"Since its inception the Land Rover Discovery has been pivotal to the success of the brand and has now become an iconic design in its own right," noted Phil Popham, Group Marketing Director at Jaguar Land Rover. "Discovery has led the way in terms of innovation, featuring technologies such as Terrain Response, which made off-roading much more accessible."
