These days it’s becoming more and more common to catch a Land Rover advertisement while watching your favorite television show on any major cable network. The company has effectively used humor and heritage (often at the same time) to showcase the merits of their vehicles through advertisement.
Land Rover’s latest advertisement titled “The Commander” takes a slightly different tone, appealing almost exclusively to the sensibilities of a young, affluent man. The advertising message was appropriately matched to a young-male demographic when it debuted November 8th on ESPN during a Florida State versus Virginia Polytechnic Institute football game. Land Rover also featured the short film on their social media channels for maximum exposure, but we question the value of airing such a campaign during a Thursday night (non-conference) college football game.
What do you think of Land Rover’s new commercial “The Commander?”
