This year’s Goodwood Revival event will be held September 11-13 at Goodwood Motor Circuit on the Goodwood Estate in West Sussex, in the South of England. This year’s Revival will feature a parade of over 50 pre-1966 Land Rovers along with a display stand showing off some of the historic Land Rover components and their original blueprints.
All of the parade cars will remain on display for all three days and the showing is expected to include the largest gathering or pre-production Land Rovers, to include the famous HUE 166, the first-built pre-production Series One, a replica of the original center-steer Land Rover, and a circus Land Rover designed to look as though it is being driven by an elephant.
The Land Rovers will do a celebratory lap around the track at noon each day of the event.
Goodwood Estate is widely known for it’s motor racing through its famous Festival of Speed and the Goodwood Revival. Revival is an attempt to recreate the feel of the historic racing that originally took place on Goodwood from its inception in 1948 to when it closed up shop in 1966.
Goodwood revival is perhaps the world's most well-known vintage car racing event, and, according to Goodwood, ”the only event of its kind to be staged in the romantic time capsule of the Fifties and Sixties.”
