The Land Rover Defender has emerged as a popular subject for tuning houses as of late. It makes sense, considering the popularity of the Defender – we all love the truck. The latest group to take a crack at dressing up the Defender? London’s Prindiville Design.
Prindiville will customize twenty five Limited Edition Defenders for the wealthy Land Rover enthusiast who appreciates the vehicle’s rugged disposition but desires a “superior level of comfort and practicality.” Each custom Defender will be assembled by hand to owner specification, offering upgrades to suspension, braking and power output. A variety of engine options will be available, with the premium option offering 190 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. This enhancement will shave the Defender’s 0-60 time to a blistering 10 seconds.
18 inch alloy wheels, six-piston calipers and sport discs, and performance springs will allow, “greater vehicle speed and stability.” Other exterior customizations include LED front and rear headlamps, a titanium high performance sports exhaust, chrome side protection runners, a ribbed undershield and Prindiville signature badging. Owners can choose from a variety of matte and metallic paint finishes.
The Prindiville Defender will also see significant additions to the vehicle’s interior. The cabin is adorned with Italian leather, sports seats and Alcantara carpets with an aluminum dash. Adding to the luxury is a 5-inch LCD monitor equipped with DVD, wireless internet, satellite navigation and 360 degree external vision. Bluetooth and surround sound audio are included as well.
