At this year’s Geneva Motor Show, Land Rover will be launching two new option packs for the iconic Defender 90 & 110 – the “Silver Pack” and the “Black Pack” – as well as a suite of new, optional features.

Available for the highline Land Rover Defender XS, the “Black Pack” features a Santorini black finish which is applied to the roof, grille, grille surround, headlamp surrounds, wheel arches, “Defender” bonnet script, and interior facia. Privacy glass and an ebony Alston headliner give the vehicle added visual interest with a touch of luxury and prestige. The “Black Pack” will be available in two wheel variations – a gloss black Sawtooth alloy wheel and a new gloss black heavy duty wheel.
The “Silver Pack” features a bright Indus silver finish to the contrast roof and is complemented with the same finish on the grille surround, headlamp surrounds, and facia. The vehicle comes with Dual Finish alloy wheels as standard and a bright light pack which incorporates the white tail and indicator lights.
There are also some new additional features that will be available for the Defender. The first new option is privacy glass. A standard part of the “Black Pack”, this option adds darkened glass to the second and third row windows on the Station Wagon and to the alpine light and rear quarter light windows on the Hard Top XS. The rear door will remain standard glass due to visibility regulations.
The ebony Alston headliner has a dramatic effect on the Defender’s interior and perfectly complements the style of the “Black Pack” option. This new feature is available for XS vehicles and brings an element of elegance to an off-road icon.
To improve the flexibility of these new, extensive personalization options for the Defender, a new finish will be available for the side runner. In contrast to the currently available black, the new painted silver option is the perfect fit for the “Silver Pack”.
Defender will now also be available with optional contrast leather premium seats. These will feature Windsor leather inserts and a choice of three color combinations; Ebony/Pimento, Ebony/Tan or Ebony/Lunar. If specified, the color theme can be continued through to the second and third row seats on Station Wagons. To finish things off, the front center stowage compartment will also feature the contrast leather highlights.
All UK specification Defender 90 and 110s are fitted with ABS and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) as standard. ABS will also be available for the first time on all 130 wheel base Defender models.
