This Kit Features Medium Weight Springs.
This performance shock/spring kit from Old Man Emu offering comes all the way up from down under, where Australian engineers have custom-built a tough off-road shock package for your Rover. Old Man Emu Performance Nitrocharger shocks feature a giant 18mm shaft made of induction hardened steel, then chromed to a superfine finish. A check valve insures consistent gas pressure even under the toughest off-road conditions. A Teflon-coated guide bush significantly reduces heat build up, and a stone guard protects the oil seal and piston rod against flying stones and dirt build-up. The shocks are matched to a set of Old Man Emu springs - shot peened, double scragged and thoroughly load tested to give you a heavy-duty upgrade that improves ride, handling and towing. Thoroughly tested and improved on Australia’s rugged outback, this suspension package is ready for your own test and approval.
Choosing the Right Springs: Light Weight Springs are considered OE-spec rated or standard, Medium Weight Springs offer improved vehicle handling and performance with some improved load weight capability; Heavy Duty Springs are best for vehicles handling added weight or stress regularly (such as vehicles used regularly off-road or for trailering/towing.)

Put this on last week just using jack stands and a floor jack. Pretty easy install. I wasn’t looking for any lift but I think it raised the disco up about an inch and a half. I like the way the stance looks. It seems to have gotten rid of the sag in the back end. It also rides better, seems a little tighter and less floaty. For the amount of money it cost I would think that old man emu could throw in a couple stickers.

After having the springs and shocks installed in a 1994 RRC LWB the rover does seem to handle better and smoother. I was looking for a higher lift with the new suspension but only a 1" lift above stock hight was what I got. Over all very happy with the ride and purchase.
