VOLR is an annual and ever-popular Rover enthusiast field event held at the Lillie Brook Farm, Rockingham, VT. The idea is to bring your Rover up to the Lillie family’s beautiful working farm venue and camp, socialize and test your Rover on the farm’s greatly expanded trail network or enjoy an off-campus overland outing and immerse yourself in the world of Roverdom!

This year’s event featured over 60 Rovers, more than 100 attendees and a special Series IIA frame-over rebuild! Atlantic British was on hand as well, with our Rover Club guru, Eric “the Intrepid” Riston on site with raffle giveaways and a bevy of special parts deals, scratch-n-dent discount items and more.

In addition to our previous spyshot reports on Land Rover's new Discovery Sport (the upcoming replacement model for the LR2 / Freelander 2), we have some further information as well as some driving action! Land Rover is set to launch the vehicle September 3rd, after some of the most rigorous testing ever conducted by the manufacturer on a new model.

Land Rover conducted over 11,720 single vehicle tests using 181 prototype models encompassing a whopping 750,000 test miles combined!

Forbes believes that the Jaguar Land Rover division accounts for 95% of Tata Motor’s valuation, a testament to the revitalization of both brands and strong sales figures worldwide. According to forecasting from Forbes, JLR’s sales figures should continue to climb, to the tune of 1 million vehicles sold annually by 2020.

Land Rover will be commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the Continental Divide expedition by taking several 2014 Range Rovers on a 1,000 mile journey across the country, replicating the epic journey. As an added bonus for enthusiast, Land Rover will also be auctioning a fully restored 1990 Range Rover Great Divide replica on eBay.

Land Rover has recently revealed images and details on a new trim package for the Range Rover Sport called the Stealth Pack, and it provides some nice aesthetic upgrades to a vehicle already heralded for its design.
